So you heard about Vegas but haven't been here before. No problem. So what do you do to have fun besides just get crazy drunk? Okay, we know there are those students out there that don't drink and we respect you for that. So let's see if we can give you ideas on things you should see that will offer some good fun.
Perhaps this video from Spring Break 2013 will give you some ideas on how you should spend some time in Las Vegas. Just sayin'...
Sights
The roller coaster at New York New York is pretty cool and is actually pretty smooth. The Bellagio Fountains are a must see. A ride to the top of the Eiffel Tower is worth it and gives a great view all around. The Coca-Cola and M&M shops are absolute must do's. Walking up and down the strip is awesome, but get some good shoes on. You really can't lose if you go to the Fremont Street Experience. They have three stages at night, a zipline, and you can find cheaper prices there than on the strip. It is a good place to party.
People Watching
You will see everything in Vegas so let your senses be amazed. Watching from the front of the Bellagio is cool, across the street at Paris is a great spot. In between Harrah's and Imperial Palace is crowded and fun. Planet Hollywood's Miracle Mile shops always has some fun activity going on.
Pools and Clubbing
We have two pages above that explain the best pools and clubbing activities for you. Please click Genre, Spring Breakers, Clubbing or Pools.
Casinos
Casinos in Las Vegas all have something to offer that is designed to bring you in for a peek. Go from one to another to see what they offer. Some of the best choices include the Venetian, Bellagio, Caesar's Palace, Tropicana, Planet Hollywood, Mirage, Excalibur, New York New York, Paris. Okay, we will stop here. They all have something unique and different. Allow your feet to take you where you are willing to go.
Transportation
We see college students and some high school students renting a large Hummer Limo and riding up and down the strip. You have to do it once, so get a bunch of friends together and split the costs (Don't forget a $20-$40 tip for the driver is normal). It should be fun. Double Decker busses are all over the strip and they are cheap. Take a ride and enjoy the view. Take a trip on the Monorail (starts at MGM and Sahara). It is a smooth ride and not too expensive at $5 a ride for a one way trip. Other passes are available.
Coffee
Nearly every hotel/casino has a coffee shop it seems like. But if you want your favorite Starbucks, you may or may not find one in your hotel. There are multiple locations in Las Vegas on the strip. We usually go to the one next to the Imperial Palace near Harrah's.
